Light blue car with yellow stripe8/19/2023 ![]() ![]() His nickname, 'Big Ears', is really a nickname of ZAZ-968 cars in Russia and Ukraine (Ushasty Zaporozhets).Letters OM in his number means he is from the Omsk oblast. His Die-Cast toy has the same facial expression as Tolga Trunkov's die-cast.When Mater scans Vladimir and the other lemons, it is shown that Vladimir is currently wanted in the Republic of New Rearendia, which is a fictional country that Rip Clutchgoneski is from.Vladimir's tires read Road Hug, the same as Acer, Fred Pacer, and one British Police Officer. While most pigments absorb more than a single frequency (and are known as. Like all the other Lemons, Vladimir Trunkov is a. Paper that absorbs blue light is permeated by a pigment known as a yellow pigment. The ZAZ plant is located in Zaporizhia, Ukraine. Vladimir is painted light blue with yellow stripes on his sides. Vladimir's color scheme (blue and yellow) reflects the Ukrainian state flag.Standard is black on yellow, or black on light blue for taxis. With so many close calls, Vladimir doesn't know how many strokes he's got left in his." The cars in the Netherlands use yellow license number plates because it is a tradition. Known on the street as "Big Ears" because of two side-panel air inlets, Vladimir was able to hear trouble coming kilometers before anyone else. But when the power in his country shifted back to an autocracy, he changed his name and went underground. " Before becoming the leader of the Trunkov family, Vladimir was a gray-market parts smuggler behind the "Iron Bumper".Deployable Machine Gun: Located on his left side, he got it out when trying to kill Mater (disguised as Ivan) in the Italy's Casino.Unlike the rest of the Lemon heads, Vladimir is shown to be civil when confronting his enemies, as shown when cornering Mater, McQueen, Finn McMissile, and Holley Shiftwell in London before attempting to kill them as he reassures McQueen that they have nothing personal against him. Similar to his bosses Sir Miles Axlerod and Professor Zündapp, Vladimir can get easily angered when things don't go as planned and was willing to take matters into his own hands by killing Mater and McQueen after the bomb did not kill them. He is also notorious for being a crime boss and an iron-fisted family leader.Īpparently, he is very sadistic because he loved the idea of discrediting Allinol by using the electromagnetic pulse generator disguised as a camera which would cause the racers to blow their engines, crash, and make sure that every car would keep on using ordinary fuel to secure the profits of the Lemon organization. Like all the other Lemons, Vladimir Trunkov is a cold-hearted terrorist who would do anything for a quick buck. Vladimir is painted light blue with yellow stripes on his sides. His license plate is 95-81 OMH in the film, and 19-71 SMK on the die-casts, the same as Petrov Trunkov's. He is modeled after a ZAZ-968 Zaporozhets with one adjustment: the letter T on his front bumper, which stands for his last name and model Trunkov. Vladimir Trunkov is a 1971 Avto Trunkov T-71. Vladimir made a cameo appearance in the Obey Traffic Signals promotional commercial, driving along the streets in the background. Near the end of the film, Vladimir was blinded by Flo, and impounded and arrested by Sheriff. After Mater accidentally reveals his disguise, Vladimir is one of the many who tried to shoot him. According to Thiesbürger, it was unusual to add in the red just as negotiations with Texaco were beginning, but could perhaps have been an attempt to win the company over.In Cars 2, Vladimir Trunkov meets with the other lemon crime bosses in Porto Corsa, to discuss and watch the plans for the Allinol destruction plan. This was at a time when BMW was participating in racing events with the support of Castrol – whose logo was the familiar green. Thiesbürger considers this plausible due to the fact that Seehaus had already incorporated the Texaco logo into new racing car designs in 1972, as backed up by various design drawings in the BMW Group archives. When asked about the story behind Texaco, he says: “It is very likely that the red in the BMW Motorsport color scheme represented Texaco, despite the fact that sponsoring negotiations with the company broke down at the end of 1972 and the deal never came to be.” According to his interpretation of the color combination, the blue stands for BMW, the red was likely inspired by Texaco and the violet was chosen as a blend of the two. Marc Thiesbürger, car and racing historian for BMW Group Classic, can draw on various archive sources and recorded recollections from those who were there. ![]()

Ubuntu add sudo user8/19/2023 ![]() ![]() Any questions or suggestions are always welcome. I hope you like this quick little tutorial about using sudo without password. You can configure sudo in a way that only commands of your choice can be run without password.įor example, if you want the apt update and apt upgrade to be run without entering the password for sudo in Ubuntu, here’s what you need to do.Īnd then add a line like this: user_name ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD:/usr/bin/apt update, /usr/bin/apt upgrade Run only specific sudo commands without password Next, use the ssh command to log in as root user: ssh rootyour-cloud-server-ip-here ssh Step 2 Create a new user account on Ubuntu. Thankfully, there is a solution for that as well. It provides you some options to deals with the changes.īut it’s not a good practice to run all the sudo commands without password. (Q)uit and save changes to sudoers file (DANGER!) > /etc/sudoers: syntax error near line 3 <<<Į(x)it without saving changes to sudoers file When you try to save your changes, it performs a check and notifies if there is any syntax error. The visudo tool creates a new temp file where you can edit the sudoer file using the default text editor. This is why you a dedicated tool called visudo is used for editing sudo configuration file. If you make a syntax error while editing this file, the consequences can be fatal. Now, you may edit /etc/sudoers file manually in a text editor like Vim, however, that is not advised. Of course, you have to replace the user_name in the above command with your user name.Įxit the shell and enter again and you should see the changes reflected. All you have to do is to add a line like this in this file: user_name ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD:ALL This will open the default text editor (Nano in Ubuntu) for editing this file. Use the following command to edit the /etc/sudoers file: sudo visudo Let’s see how to use sudo with no password.īut first, back up the sudoer file as a precautionary measure: sudo cp /etc/sudoers ~/sudoers.bak Execute all sudo commands without password Maybe, you should disable SSH access with password first. If you are on a server, you should be extra careful specially if you have SSH enabled. In Linux, you can change sudo configuration to run some or all command with sudo but without entering password. To add a user to sudo privileges in Ubuntu, open the terminal and type: sudo adduser sudo This will add the user to the sudo group, which will allow them to. This is specially if you are the only user on the system or if you think some commands are okay to run without password. Some users may find it cumbersome to enter the password all the time. Which means that you’ll have to enter the password again if you run a command with sudo after fifteen minutes. The default timeout for the password is 15 minutes (in Ubuntu Linux). When you run a command with sudo, it asks for your account’s password. Most Linux distributions like Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora use the sudo mechanism to allow admin users to run commands with root privileges. If you wish to give any other account full root access through sudo, simply add them to the sudo group. Step 1 Logging Into Your Server SSH in to your server as the root user: ssh root yourserveripaddress Step 2 Adding a New User to the System Use the adduser command to add a new user to your system: adduser sammy Be sure to replace sammy with the user name that you want to create. It seems that my new specific group "mysudos" has been correctly granted to sudo privileges, but "admin" and "sudo" privileges have not been limited.Learn how to run some or all sudo commands without entering the password on Ubuntu or any other Linux distribution. # See sudoers(5) for more information on /etc/sudoers.d # Allow members of group sudo to execute any command # Members of the admin group may gain root privileges Sudo dpkg-statoverride -update -add root mysudos 4750 /bin/suĪdditionaly, in "/etc/sudoers" file, i can see: # User privilege specification

Atlas cross over8/19/2023 ![]() ![]() That comes standard as part of the R-Line option. The Atlas R-Line gets an actual screen at the rear of the center console for second-row passengers to control rear A/C. The Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport are near twins inside, apart from a few slight variations in the back seat. But those without a large family, the standard storage space in the Cross Sport is a great thing to have. The standard Atlas is still more spacious, though it has 20.6 cubic feet of room behind the third row, but 55.5 cubic feet behind the second row and a whopping 96.8 cubic feet behind the first if you fold the seats down. That means the Cross Sport loses the third-row option and instead gets a hearty 40.3 cubic feet behind the second row and 77.8 cubic feet of cargo room behind the first. The distance between the wheels remains exactly the same at 117.3 inches, but the Cross Sport is nearly 3.0 inches shorter overall than the traditional Atlas – 195.5 inches versus 198.3 inches. It's from the front door rearward, though, where these two are most obviously different. Opting for the R-Line also slightly modifies the look of the rear diffuser, as well. Only V6-powered versions of the Atlas and Cross Sport – specifically the SE model and the R-Line – get a different front fascia design, therefore our SEL (but non–R-Line) Cross Sport gets the less sporty front end. ![]() Almost every version of the Atlas comes standard with the same gray lower trim piece like the one pictured here on the Cross Sport. The slight visual differences are trim-specific, though. The Atlas R-Line, meanwhile, gets a sleeker black opening on the bumper with shiny silver accents at each corner to denote its sporty nature. At first glance, the two crossovers do look similar – apart from the obvious color and wheel variations – but there are subtle differences elsewhere that are hard to spot initially.įor one, the Cross Sport has a gray lower trim piece just beneath that grille that extends downward to look like a skid plate (spoiler alert: it's not). The latter wheel option comes standard on the R-Line, which our Cross Sport does not feature. The three-row Atlas in question is also an SEL Premium with a V6, only this one gets the optional R-Line package, a Tourmaline Blue Metallic paint job, and bigger 21-inch wheels. It has an upgraded engine (a 3.6-liter V6 instead of a base four), wears a $395Aurora Red Metallic paint job, and rides on 20-inch alloy wheels. The Cross Sport pictured here is a range-topping SEL Premium model. So much so that we put the two crossovers side by side to see exactly what makes them so similar in some ways and different in others. Since then we've put more than 5,000 miles on the SUV and learned that while it looks slightly different than the traditional three-row Atlas on the outside, the two-row Cross Sport feels like very much the same. To understand a bit better what the new Cross Sport means for the Atlas range, we took delivery of a long-term Cross Sport SEL in July. With that in mind, VW is shaking things up with a second option this year, hoping to capture a bit more success – introducing the Atlas Cross Sport. But even though VW moved 61,000 examples of the Atlas SUV in its first full year on sale and saw that number swell to 81,000 examples last year, the Pilot still outsold it two to one in 2018, and the Explorer bested it by a ratio of more than four to one. It debuted for the 2018 model year, riding on the versatile MQB platform. The Volkswagen Atlas is Germany's answer to three-row competitors like the Nissan Pathfinder, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, and many more. ![]()

European boxer8/18/2023 ![]() ![]() They preferred to see their dogs and puppies with people they knew and trusted, and within driving distance of them. Lastly, the United States is a long way from Germany, and it was difficult to get breeders that would be willing to send a dog or puppy so far away, when they did not know us, and when they never thought they would see the dog again. They are family dogs and so it is difficult for people to part with them, especially when they are adults. Secondly, German Boxers are not usually kept as kennel dogs by their owners. That is less than is registered in ONE MONTH with the AKC! In comparison, some 25,000 German Shepherds are registered annually in Germany. Consider that there are only about 2,000 of them registered each year in Germany. There are several reasons why obtaining good German Boxers is a difficult task.įirst, there are so few of them to begin with. But it was not an easy or quick trip.įinding really exceptional German Boxers with the correct structure AND the correct working temperament and drive balance has never been an easy task. These are the things that brought us to the German Boxer. What has resulted is a dog that has a high level of trainability along with athleticism, outstanding character, and superior health. Dogs that did not meet these breeding requirements were eliminated from the breeding pool. ![]() Additional breeding requirements were developed over the years, including evaluations for structure and temperament, and a number of health guidelines. Consisting of tests of tracking, obedience and protection work, it is still used in Germany as a breeding criteria today. To keep the breed's working qualities intact, German breeders since the early 1900s have used Schutzhund to determine an indivual dog's suitability for breeding. Sometimes you will hear people in North America call a Boxer that has been imported from a European country other than Germany a "European Boxer", or a "Euro Boxer," but those are just made up names, and those Boxers are in fact, "German Boxers" by name in registration with the FCI. It is the official name of the breed in all FCI countries in Europe. The term "German Boxer" does not simply refer to the country of origin for our dogs. Our kennel and home are located on 250 acres in the heart of Wisconsin farm country. We bred our first German Boxer litter in 1989. We have both been trainers and competitors since the 1980s, and have put dozens of titles on our dogs over the years, competing here in the United States and abroad.
